Materials & construction built for truck beds

We engineered the summer waves truck bed pool with reinforced 0.40mm PVC vinyl that resists punctures from truck bed liners and metal surfaces. The bottom layer features our ToughGrip texture that prevents sliding during transport.
Our heat-welded seams withstand pressure from water weight and movement better than glued alternatives. The sidewall construction includes dual-chamber inflation zones—if one section develops a slow leak, the other maintains structural integrity until you can apply the included repair patch.
Sizing & truck bed compatibility

Standard bed fitment
Our pool accommodates standard short beds (6.5 ft), standard beds (6.75 ft), and long beds (8 ft) from major truck manufacturers. The flexible sidewalls conform to your specific bed dimensions when inflated.
For trucks with bed liners, we recommend spray-in liners over drop-in styles. Drop-in liners create gaps that reduce water capacity by approximately 15 gallons. The pool sits flush against spray-in surfaces for maximum volume.
Setup & water filling instructions

We include a 12V DC pump that connects to your truck’s power outlet for inflation in 4-6 minutes. Park on level ground before inflating to ensure even sidewall height.
After inflation, check that all sidewalls stand perpendicular to the truck bed. Fill using a garden hose at medium pressure—high-pressure filling can stress seams during initial expansion. Stop filling when water reaches 1 inch below the sidewall top.

Summer Waves truck bed pool questions
No, our pool is designed specifically for truck bed use. The bottom layer uses smooth PVC that won’t scratch spray-in bed liners or damage plastic drop-in liners.
We recommend removing any loose items from your bed before setup and checking for sharp edges or exposed bolts that could puncture the vinyl. The pool itself weighs approximately 12 pounds empty, so it won’t dent or deform your bed surface.
Filling time depends on your water pressure. With standard residential water pressure (40-60 PSI), expect 12-18 minutes to reach the recommended 6-8 inch depth.
Draining through our quick-connect valve takes 8-12 minutes when attached to a garden hose. Without a hose, gravity drainage by lowering the tailgate takes 15-20 minutes. We designed the valve with a wide opening to speed up drainage compared to traditional pool plugs.
Yes, you can transport the pool while inflated and empty. We recommend securing it with bungee cords attached to your tie-down points to prevent wind from lifting the sidewalls.
Never drive with water in the pool. The weight and movement create unsafe driving conditions and can damage both your truck and the pool. Always drain completely before moving your vehicle.
Our pool fits standard short beds (6.5 ft), standard beds (6.75 ft), and long beds (8 ft) from all major manufacturers including Ford, Chevrolet, Ram, Toyota, and Nissan.
The flexible sidewalls adjust to your specific bed width between 50-72 inches. For compact trucks like the Tacoma or Ranger, you’ll achieve 6-7 inches of water depth. Full-size trucks reach the maximum 8-inch depth.
For single-day use, no chemicals are necessary. If you plan to keep water in the pool for multiple days, we recommend adding a small amount of chlorine to prevent algae growth.
Our pool chemical starter kit includes travel-size tablets designed for small water volumes. Use approximately one-quarter tablet per 100 gallons. Test strips help you monitor chlorine levels to keep water safe and clean.
Your kit includes a 3×3 inch adhesive repair patch for small punctures. Clean the damaged area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely. Apply the patch with firm pressure and wait 24 hours before refilling.
For tears larger than 2 inches, we recommend our heavy-duty repair kit with larger patches and stronger adhesive. Small pinholes can often be temporarily sealed with duct tape until you have time for a permanent repair.
Yes, our pool supports up to 400 pounds of distributed weight. Two adults can comfortably sit in the pool together, or three to four adults can stand and cool off.
Avoid jumping or diving into the pool, as the truck bed bottom provides no cushioning. The 6-8 inch water depth is designed for sitting and wading, not swimming. Always supervise children and ensure the truck is on stable, level ground before use.
