Summer Waves 16ft Elite Frame Pool
Our 16ft Elite Frame Pool brings resort-quality swimming to your backyard with our strongest metal frame system and SkimmerPlus™ filtration. We engineered this pool for families who want commercial-grade durability without permanent installation.
The powder-coated steel frame resists rust and UV damage season after season, while our triple-layer puncture-resistant liner handles heavy use from kids, pets, and pool toys. Set up takes 60-90 minutes with two people—no special tools required.
With 3,736 gallons of water capacity and 48-inch walls, everyone from toddlers to adults finds their perfect depth. The included SkimmerPlus™ system circulates and filters the entire pool volume twice daily, keeping water sparkling clean with minimal chemical use.

Frame Construction & Liner Technology

We build the Summer Waves 16ft pool frame from commercial-grade steel tubes with our exclusive powder-coat finish that resists rust, corrosion, and UV fading. Each joint uses our Easy-Lock system with horizontal and vertical stabilizer bars that distribute water pressure evenly across the entire structure.
The triple-layer liner combines an inner PVC surface, a polyester mesh core for tear resistance, and an outer laminate that blocks algae growth and chemical degradation. We print a Mediterranean tile pattern on the interior that won’t fade or peel, even after years of chlorine exposure and direct sunlight.
SkimmerPlus™ Filtration System

Circulation & Filtration Performance
The included SkimmerPlus™ system pulls water from the surface and bottom simultaneously, capturing leaves, insects, and debris before they sink. Our 1,000 gallon-per-hour pump cycles the full 3,736-gallon pool volume every 3.7 hours—far exceeding the industry standard of two turnovers per day.
The Type D cartridge filter traps particles down to 20 microns without the backwashing waste of sand filters. We integrate a ChemConnect™ dispenser that slowly releases chlorine directly into the return flow, maintaining consistent sanitizer levels and reducing your manual testing frequency.
Setup & Site Requirements

Choose a level area with firm, compact soil or a concrete pad—avoid sand, which shifts under the frame and creates uneven stress points. Clear the site of rocks, roots, and sharp objects within a 17ft diameter circle, then lay our included ground cloth as the base layer.
Assemble the frame by connecting horizontal top rails first, then insert vertical legs into the corner joints and secure with locking pins. Spread the liner inside the frame, attach it to the top rail clips, and begin filling with a garden hose. The water weight naturally pulls the liner into its final position—you’ll adjust the final wrinkles once the pool reaches 1-2 inches of depth.

16ft Elite Frame Pool Questions
Fill time depends on your garden hose flow rate. Most residential hoses deliver 5-10 gallons per minute, so expect 6-12 hours to fill the full 3,736-gallon capacity.
We recommend starting the fill in the morning so you can monitor the liner as it seats into the frame. You can begin swimming once water reaches 36 inches—no need to wait for the full 48-inch depth.
The powder-coated steel frame withstands winter weather when covered, but we strongly recommend draining and storing the liner indoors. Freezing water expands and contracts, which weakens PVC and shortens liner life dramatically.
Drain completely, clean and dry the liner, then fold and store in a basement or garage where temperatures stay above freezing. The frame can remain assembled outdoors under a weather cover, or disassemble and stack components to save space.
Firm, level, compact soil or a concrete pad provides the best foundation. Avoid sand bases—sand shifts under the 31,000-pound water weight and creates uneven stress on the frame joints.
Clear the site of rocks, sticks, and roots, then lay our included ground cloth for puncture protection. Check level with a carpenter’s level before filling—more than 2 inches of slope causes uneven water depth and frame stress.
Replace Type D cartridges every 2-4 weeks during active swimming season depending on bather load and debris. Rinse the cartridge weekly with a garden hose to extend life between replacements.
You’ll notice when replacement is needed—water clarity decreases and flow rate from the return jet weakens. Stock up on our 6-pack of replacement cartridges at the season start so you never run out during peak use.
No dedicated circuit required—the SkimmerPlus pump draws under 2 amps and plugs into any standard 120V outdoor outlet. The outlet must have GFCI protection per electrical code for outdoor water applications.
Keep the pump within 25 feet of the outlet to avoid extension cord voltage drop. Never use indoor extension cords or multi-outlet adapters with pool equipment.
We don’t publish a specific weight limit because the pool’s structural capacity far exceeds normal residential use. The steel frame and triple-layer liner handle multiple adults swimming simultaneously without stress.
The 3,736 gallons of water weigh approximately 31,000 pounds—the pool is engineered to contain that load plus swimmers, so total human weight is negligible by comparison. Use common sense about overcrowding for safety and comfort rather than structural concerns.
Yes, the triple-layer liner and powder-coated frame resist salt corrosion, but you’ll need to purchase a separate saltwater system—the included SkimmerPlus pump is not a chlorine generator.
Salt systems cost more upfront but reduce ongoing chemical purchases and create gentler water for sensitive skin. Make sure any saltwater generator you choose is rated for at least 4,000 gallons to handle the 3,736-gallon pool volume effectively.
