Summer Waves 15×33 Metal Frame Pool — Official Summer Waves
Our 15-foot by 33-inch metal frame pool is engineered for families who want a reliable above-ground pool without the complexity of permanent installation. The powder-coated steel frame resists rust season after season, while the reinforced PVC liner stands up to daily play and UV exposure.
We designed this pool to set up in 45-60 minutes with two people and basic tools. The SnapTite™ connection system locks frame segments together without loose pins or complicated hardware, so you spend less time building and more time swimming. The 15-foot diameter provides plenty of space for kids to splash, adults to cool off, and families to gather on hot afternoons.
- 15-foot diameter × 33-inch wall height — 2,640 gallon capacity
- Powder-coated galvanized steel frame with rust-resistant coating
- 3-ply reinforced PVC liner with pattern print finish
- SnapTite™ frame connectors for tool-free assembly
- Includes cartridge filter pump (330 GPH), ladder, and ground cloth
Frame construction & water capacity

The summer waves 15×33 pool uses 1.25-inch galvanized steel tubing with a three-layer powder coating that protects against oxidation and pool chemical exposure. Each vertical leg anchors to horizontal top rails through our proprietary SnapTite™ joint system, which distributes water pressure evenly across the structure.
At 33 inches deep, the pool holds approximately 2,640 gallons when filled to the recommended waterline (6 inches below the top rail). This depth is ideal for wading, lounging in floats, and supervised play for children under 10. The included 330-gallon-per-hour cartridge filter cycles the entire volume roughly every 8 hours during normal operation.
Liner material & seam design

Our 3-ply liner combines an inner layer of heavy-gauge PVC, a middle polyester mesh for tear resistance, and an outer PVC layer with UV inhibitors. The seams are radio-frequency welded rather than glued, creating bonds stronger than the surrounding material.
Pattern print finish
The mosaic tile pattern printed on the interior adds visual depth and helps conceal minor debris between cleanings. Unlike solid blue liners, the textured print reduces glare on sunny days and makes the water appear more inviting.
What’s included in the package

Every Summer Waves 15×33 pool ships with the complete setup kit: steel frame components, reinforced liner, 330 GPH cartridge filter pump with Type D filter cartridge, debris cover, ground cloth, repair patch kit, and instruction manual.
The included ladder features anti-slip treads and mounts securely to the top rail without tools. The ground cloth protects the liner from rocks, roots, and abrasive soil, extending the life of your pool by preventing punctures from below. We also include a basic debris cover to keep leaves and insects out when the pool isn’t in use, though we recommend upgrading to our solar cover if you want passive heating.

What people are saying

Common questions about the 15×33 metal frame pool
Most families complete setup in 45-60 minutes with two adults. The process includes laying the ground cloth, assembling the metal frame, securing the liner, and connecting the filter pump. Filling the pool with water takes an additional 4-6 hours depending on your hose flow rate.
We recommend reading the instruction manual before you begin and gathering all components in your workspace. The SnapTite™ frame connections require no tools, so you won’t need to pause assembly to find hardware.
The pool walls stand 33 inches tall, but the recommended fill line is 6 inches below the top rail for safe operation and proper skimmer function. This gives you an effective water depth of 27 inches, which is ideal for wading, sitting, and lounging but not deep enough for diving or jumping.
Maintaining the proper water level ensures the filter pump draws from the correct depth and prevents overflow during heavy use.
We do not recommend leaving the pool assembled in climates where temperatures drop below freezing. Ice expansion can damage the liner and bend the frame. For winter storage, drain the pool completely, disassemble the frame, clean and dry all components, and store them indoors or in a weatherproof shed.
In mild climates where freezing is rare, some customers leave their pools up year-round with proper winterizing chemicals and a secure cover. Contact our support team for region-specific recommendations.
A flat, level surface is essential. Grass, compacted dirt, and concrete all work well as long as you remove rocks, roots, and debris before laying the ground cloth. Avoid slopes greater than 1 inch across the pool diameter, as uneven weight distribution can stress the frame and cause premature wear.
Sandy soil may require the included anchor stakes to prevent shifting. If you’re placing the pool on a deck or patio, verify that the surface can support approximately 22,000 pounds (the combined weight of water, structure, and swimmers).
Rinse the Type D cartridge with a garden hose every 5-7 days during active use to remove trapped debris. Replace the cartridge every 2-4 weeks depending on swimmer load, environmental debris, and water chemistry. If you notice reduced flow from the return jets or cloudy water despite proper chemical balance, it’s time for a fresh cartridge.
Replacement cartridges are available in multi-packs through our site and most pool supply retailers.
Yes. The 15×33 pool uses industry-standard 1.25-inch hose fittings compatible with most vacuum heads, skimmers, and cleaning tools. The top rail accommodates universal ladder brackets, and the 15-foot diameter works with most floating toys, games, and solar covers designed for above-ground pools.
Our <a href=”/active-frame-pools/”>active frame pool collection</a> shares accessory compatibility across models, so upgrades and replacements are easy to find.
Maintain free chlorine at 1-3 ppm, pH between 7.2-7.6, and total alkalinity between 80-120 ppm. Use standard chlorine tablets in a floating dispenser or inline feeder, test the water 2-3 times per week, and shock the pool weekly or after heavy use.
The 2,640-gallon capacity requires less chemical volume than larger pools, making routine maintenance affordable. Most pool supply stores offer startup kits that include test strips, chlorine, pH adjusters, and clarifiers tailored to pools under 3,000 gallons.
